The Happiest Place on Earth...

No, not Disneyland...Red Cliff! Rich, Matt, Fiona and I had a great weekend camping trip. What does Red Cliff have that Disneyland doesn't?
Crash pads to sit on...with a beer...
hammocks...with a beer... Subaru tailgating...
big boulders to stand on...and no one's mom telling Rich hip thrusts are inappropriate...
OK - the number one thing Disneyland doesn't have is climbing. Fiona warms up on the boulder in the campsite...
Rich nabs a sick FA on the boulder...
Matt needs tall man beta for Immortality...
Mercedes came up late Saturday afternoon to work Return of the Jedi - she's super close to linking it from the bottom.Dave Wahl is back in the game, working projects again.
And...Red Cliff is my happiest place because...
Diggs sent Minturn Mile!

Projects....

Short sessions to work on projects... Matt is getting close on "Laying in Wait" at Mt. Evans...this thing is trecherous! Cooler temps would be better...
Asher getting the moves dialed on "Live Strong" at the double wide boulder, Guanella Pass.
Lucas working "Mind Matters", Guanella Pass.
Diggs, still trying to get the heel hook to stick on "Ninja", Guanella Pass.
Proof that Alexa does climb - a flapper stopped the send of Pineapple Express, Newlin Creek.
We've come to the conclusion that this is the summer of "I'm not climbing that much" and that equates to "my project feels hard"... but it's always fun!

It Matters...

Rylan sent Mind Matters (V11/12?) at Guanella pass! Really cool, REALLY tall, proud line! Congrats!
The rest of us went for the opposite end of the height spectrum and tried the lowest of lowballs, the ninja pony... (seriously, does anyone know what the original name of this problem is? Amy Carden remembers it having the word ninja in the name, and it evolved to include pony when people were topping it out and sitting across the horn...)
the pad is for show, we actually pushed it back so we could roll in the dirt and still dab.
Hopefully everyone had a wonderful 4th of July weekend!
