m@ on a wicked traverse at guanella (another longing for summer post)

This traverse was really sweet looking, I think both m@ and Thomas did it sometime in the Septemberish time of the last year. There were a ton of moves and most of my pictures suck, so I just put them all up here for your viewing pleasure/horror. I have no idea what this problem was called or graded, so if you are interested you'll have to ask someone else. I can't wait to go back to Guanella Pass to try it. Stupid snow.

Daily Chuck Dose

I know you all are getting tired of Carter Lake media, but I'm not.

Feel free to post other carp. (Yea, like the fish. Not "Crap" spelled wrong.) Here, Marcelo Delovitch crushes "Daily Chuck Dose" with some serious ease. This problem is VERY cruxy. As in, pulling your butt off the ground is the crux. Either you do it, or you don't. I think I may be at an advantage due to the disease I appear to have contracted in early childhood. Noassatall. No really, it's a real disease with medicine and everything. What's truely impressive is that everyone's favorite Dello did this after ripping open his ring finger on Skunk Rub.

Yea. Epic gross. However, as i've been reminded over and over, this is the intardweb and text without photo or video evidence is auto-disproven. Thank goodness for tape. I took the picture before it started gushing. You're welcome.

Skunk Rub

For whatever reason, this is the problem I am most psyched to climb at Carter. However, I admit that I may just have an eye for choss after so much time at Castlewood and Morrison lately. Rich and Kevin both spent a good amount of time on this problem and are extremely close to sending. I believe both have done it in overlapping sections. Benningfield calls it a four, but general consensus is closer to six. I hope that my shoulder will be healed in time to give it a few goes this coming weekend. Anyone up for another session at Carter?

Kahuna roof looks fun, but there are some other things in the area that i'm even MORE psyched on. Photos of those to come soon. Memorial Plaque Dyno

This problem is in a VERY well traveled area of Priest Draw, AZ but rarely glimpsed by visitors. While receiving the tour from a few locals in August of 2006 Diggs and I were given the back story and an opportunity to climb this line. Robert Drysdale was a very active developer in both Priest and Howard draws. One day when climbing in the area where the plaque is found, a large piece of stone broke off of the problem he was working, falling on and killing him. Some view doing the climb starting from this memorial as tribute. Others vehemently express that it is sacrilege. In my opinion, a climber like Robert would find it both humorous and fitting to have his life remembered in such fashion. You make the call for yourself.
